Hydrogen Peroxide solution takes care of the cleaning, rinsing, storage and disinfection needs of the lens. Rinse the lens in the provided basket. After this the basket is to be placed in its cup and the cup filled with the solution. This cleans and disinfects the lenses. Some lens holders come with a built in neutralizer that converts the hydrogen peroxide to water. This is necessary so that the hydrogen peroxide does not sting the eyes. With other holders, you need to add a neutralizing tablet. Lenses must be rinsed before placing them in the eyes.

Cleaning/disinfecting devices disinfect as well as clean your contact lenses. Cleaning can happen through ultrasonic waves or subsonic agitation. For disinfection, multipurpose solution or ultraviolet light is used. Among other accessories are enzymatic cleaners that remove protein weekly. Tablets are used with saline solution or as advised.

Daily protein remover also removes protein, but it is in liquid form and used everyday. It is used with multipurpose solution during disinfection. Eyedrops are another useful contact lens accessory.
